Aftertaxly is an independent project that builds take-home pay calculators for countries whose official tax information is accurate but hard to use. We cover New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Three rules run the site:
1. Official numbers only. Every rate comes from the tax authority or labour department — IRD and Employment New Zealand for NZ — and is re-verified every tax year. Our method page lists every parameter and source.
2. Estimates, honestly labelled. A calculator can't know your full situation. We say what we include, what we don't, and where a payslip can differ.
3. No accounts, no data collection. Calculations run in your browser. The numbers you type never leave your device.
Aftertaxly is not affiliated with IRD, Inland Revenue, Employment New Zealand or any government agency, and nothing here is tax or financial advice.
